Tia and Alex will be married on October 13th, 2007!
Thank you to everyone for your congratulations, encouragement, support and assistance! Please stop by for further wedding information - that's about all this blog will be about for a bit, since that's what's taken over our liiiiiiiives! ...no, really, it's great. :)
Registry Information:
We are registered at both IKEA and Crate and Barrel under the names Tia Bauer and Alex Hanson.
To Shop at IKEA:
- email us at alexytia@gmail.com for the registry list! (Yes, it's true - IKEA hasn't quite figured out the digital era thing yet).
- Go to your nearest IKEA store, or to ikea.com and search for gifts using the Item #.
To Shop at Crate and Barrel:
- Go to your nearest Crate and Barrel store, or to crateandbarrel.com and search for our
registry under the names Tia Bauer and Alex Hanson.
Wedding Reception Location:
We will hold our reception at the Beaverton Baha'i Center beginning at 4pm.
5355 SW Murray Blvd.
Beaverton, OR 97005
There will be time to enjoy tasty treats, view an embarassingly revealing slide show of our childhood to our rise to marriagedom, bequeath your favorite (veggie) recipes to the new couple*, and make us blush further with sweet congrats. We love you, and can't wait to celebrate with you!
*Your (or Grandma's) FAVORITE (Veggie) Recipes?!?!
Yes! We are giving you and your family name a chance to brag to all, or at least to Alex and I, about your delicious, scruptious, fantastically fun family recipes! Starting a new home has a lot to do with food, whether it's a serving for two, or a party is in order. We both can't wait to cook for each other and our friends! Help us collect a menu that will bring the neighbors a'knockin'!
NOTE: We are both veggie-heads. If you bring your Grandma's best meatloaf recipe, we will do our best to appreciate the effort...but we're probably not gonna eat it.
To contribute a recipe:
- When you get to the Baha'i Center, find the table with the small 3-ring binder.
- You'll see a stack of 4" x 6" index cards and pretty pens there, too.
- Simply drop your own prepared 4" x 6" recipe into the binder, or use one of the supplied
cards to write your recipe out.
(We will also have scissors and glue available incase you'd like to do a little on-the-spot editing.)
Alex and I will then go home and try the recipes out. We will publish our favorite recipes here on our blog!
Hospitality:
There are a number of hotels in the area for those who are traveling some distance. Otherwise, Jenna Donaldson has kindly agreed to be of assistance to anyone looking for hospitality, whether Friday or Saturday nights. You can reach her at: 503-709-8424.
Thank you, again, for your support! We love you!
